Welcome Group
The
Parish Welcome Group gives a Welcome to the whole
of the Parish of Christchurch, newcomers, new residents
and long standing folks too.
A
very warm welcome, come and see:
The
beautiful Priory - Town
Centre,
Stately St George - Jumpers
Road,
Cosy Mission Church of
St John - Purewell,
Nicely Modern High Cross and United Reformed
Church - Somerford.
The Welcome Group hold a Coffee Mornong on the first
Saturday of each month, excepting August from 10.30am
to 12 noon. It is held in Priory House, which is
behind the Priory itself, - so do come and give
us a try and your company. Enjoy a lovely cup of
coffee or tea, and a slice of homemade cake or
a biscuit. At
Christmas its Hot Chocolate and Mince Pies. We
also have a Bring and Buy Sale.
We
do hold Social Events during the year to which everyone
is welcome including barbeques, cheese and wine evenings
etc.
There
are leaflets which list all services, group activities
and events throughout the Parish - obtainable from
the Priory Church.
If
you are a newcomer to the area, the Parish Welcome
Group invites you to fill in a Newcomers Card. These
are available at the back of the church or contact
