Can You Tell the Priory Story?
One of Dorset's leading tourist attractions, Christchurch Priory Church, needs volunteers to welcome and guide the 90,000 visitors the historic building sees during the year.
With the summer season just around the corner, the Priory is expecting record numbers to view the many features that link it to a thousand years of history.
"We need volunteers to act as welcomers," said David Avison, chairman of the priory's Pilgrims and Tourism Committee. "We also need stewards and guides to answer visitors' queries. Full training is given and for many people just a few hours a week pleasant and rewarding work at the priory have developed into a deep interest in the fascinating history of the building and the locality."
Anyone interested in joining the Priory team should contact David Avison on 01202 463086.
