The Alpha Course and the Follow-up Course ‘Challenging Lifestyle’ is for everyone and are run by The Anglican and Roman Catholic Churches of Christchurch. They are an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a way that is relaxed, non-threatening, low key, friendly and fun.
There is a meal together at the beginning of each session which gives everyone an opportunity to get to know each other. After the meal, we divide into two groups, one to stay in the Hall to listen to the Speaker for the Alpha Course topic and the other to go into the Committee Room to listen to a CD talk by Nicky Gumbel on the chosen topic from ‘Challenging Lifestyle’. Both sessions have a time for discussion and sharing thoughts at the end of the evening. We usually finish about 9.15pm.
These Courses run from September to early December each year, on Tuesday evenings, starting at 7.00pm in Priory Hall, Princess Avenue, Christchurch. There is no charge for books or these courses, although we do ask for a small contribution towards the meal.

* The three talks about the Holy Spirit will be held at High Cross Church on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th October.It is hoped that the follow-on group will join with the Alpha Groups for these talks. |
