Views from the top of the tower are spectacular in every direction. To the north you can see St Catherine's Hill, which, according to legend, was once the projected site for this Priory Church. Just beyond the churchyard are the ruins of Christchurch Castle and the Norman Constable's House. To the west of the Tower the meadows bounding the Stour are known locally as 'Quomps'
