The War Memorial Chapel and Books of Remembrance
The
Royal British Legion War Memorial Chapel remembers
those who have died in the First and Second World
Wars, the Falklands and Bosnia. The names inscribed
on the panels on the front and inside of the
chapel are those who were from the Christchurch
area.
In addition to the panels, there are books of
remembrance inside the chapel, one for the First
World War and the other contains the names of
those who died in the Second World War and subsequent
battles. In some cases, information regarding
when and where they died is given along with
their regimental details.
