The War Memorial Chapel and Books of Remembrance

The Royal British Legion War Memorial Chapel remembers those who have died in the First and Second World Wars, the Falklands and Bosnia. The names inscribed on the panels on the front and inside of the chapel are those who were from the Christchurch area.

In addition to the panels, there are books of remembrance inside the chapel, one for the First World War and the other contains the names of those who died in the Second World War and subsequent battles. In some cases, information regarding when and where they died is given along with their regimental details.
