Click here. Organ Recitals – Thursdays, 12.30pm
The popular series of organ concerts takes place weekly on Thursdays, with 10 concerts each term.
The organ console is moved to the front of the nave to enable the performer to be in view of the audience.
Each recital lasts 45 minutes. Programmes are carefully balanced to ensure that there is always an approachable mix of music on offer. Performers are always of the highest quality – the draw of the organ, and the success of the series itself, ensures there is always a long list of distinguished organists wishing to play.
Evening Concerts
There is a large scale evening concert on at least one Saturday each month. Many of these take place by candlelight.
Choral Societies, orchestras and other ensembles provide a variety of musical styles. The Priory acts as the home venue for the Grange Choral Society.
Each December, there is a hugely popular performance of Handel’s Messiah.
There are other, occasional concerts throughout the year.
Groups wishing to enquire about hiring the Priory for a concert should contact the Administrator (Option 6) for further details.
Chamber Music Concerts
In August, a series of Chamber Music Concerts takes place in the intimate setting of the Lady Chapel, on Thursday lunchtimes.
