Priory Music Fund

Last updated Wednesday, 20 March, 2019

For generations music has been sung and played at the Priory. Music enriches worship and it enriches lives. For many, whether they perform it or listen to it, music is a key part of prayer, of contemplation and access to God.

For those who perform, music becomes part of their lives.

For some it forms the basis of their professional careers.

For many others it becomes a life long interest, a source of huge enjoyment and of great friendship wherever they might be.

A sound music education forms the basis of life skills that equip our young musicians for their futures. It teaches them respect, the ability to listen, to lead and to be part of a team. Most of all it gives them a sense of self confidence and self respect.

Here at the Priory we are proud of our musical tradition and we want to build on it.

We want music to touch, shape and inspire even more lives.

So we ask you to contribute to the Priory Music Fund.

Our aim is to build a fund sufficient to ensure that the generations who follow us will be able to participate in and enjoy church music in the Priory.

There are several ways of giving to the Priory Music Fund:

1) You could make a one-off donation and/or

2) You could make a regular monthly, quarterly or annual donation and/or

3) You could choose to remember the Priory Music Fund in your Will.

If you would like to make a contribution, please print and complete the Donation Form and send it to: The Priory Music Fund, Christchurch Priory Church, Quay Road, Christchurch, Dorset BH23 1BU or alternatively pick up a leaflet in the church.
